Kenny really is impressive with distribution of mo gene. His personality is calm and wielding.

Finally got similar phenotypic birds.

Despite the rain this morning, still got out and with some help finished the raised bed.

1. Started with joining the corners

2. Once together time to fill. Always good to line the bottom with large sticks or trunks of trees. Helps hold moisture and helps nourish the bed.

3. Mushroom soil from neighbors mixed with chicken coop bedding and also my yards topsoil. Add lots of water!

4. Add an inch of the nicest topsoil and voila! A raised bed. Now water generously and let settle.  Planting in a week.

Chickens hung out too. 

Covid19 lockdown

Kinda boring inside, luckily i have 10 acres.

Set 7 eggs today. All over 55g. Have two set aside jic any are not fertile. 

Decided to keep a spilt between the dk brown and med brown eggs like last hatch. 

20a and 20b have been going out a lot. Had 3 taken by predators.  It always are the calm chickens that get taken.  Oreo was one that was lost. Rip.

Seen a bobcat. Feb and march are mating season fyi for bobcats.
